God only knows what we’d do without them.

You like the Beach Boys, right? I mean, everyone likes the Beach Boys. Now, what if I told you the Beach Boys are going to be here in western Wisconsin. You’d probably lose it, right? Yeah, I think you’d lose it. So, the Beach Boys? Yeah, they’re coming to western Wisconsin. Commence losing it. Ashley For The Arts, the Arcadia festival sponsored by the furniture company of the same name brings the ol’ Surfin’ Safari on Aug. 8. The two day festival also features indiepop songstress Ingrid Michaelson (whose new album Lights Out hit No. 1 on the U.S. Indie Charts) and Minneapolis rockers Cloud Cult, among a number of other local performers. The best part? The whole thing is only $5. That’s the Beach Boys for the price of a footlong, people. Along with the entertainment, the festival also offers art tents and plenty of food and drink. The event supports a number of great charities and local school districts. And yes, I said the Beach Boys. It’s the Beach Boys. In Arcadia. Seriously.

Ashley For The Arts, featuring The Beach Boys and Ingrid Michaelson • Aug. 8-9 • Memorial Park, One Ashley Way, Arcadia • 3pm Friday, 10am Saturday • $5 • all ages • AshleyForTheArts.com
