Katy Macek |

Face-painting, farm animals and fun for the whole family are guaranteed at the Lambing Barn in Govin’s Meat & Berries, located in Menomonie. Children and families are welcome to watch baby lambs as they begin to nurse and get to know the barn. Come at the right time and you might be lucky enough to witness a live birth. The Lambing Barn will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 21-22, 28-29, April 3-4 and 11-12. Children are also given the opportunity to play and pet baby chicks and other animals. In addition to lambs and chicks, the barn offers various other animals to learn about and visit, including sheep, calf, goats, pigs and many more. Children can also have their faces painted, and horse-drawn wagon rides will be running throughout the afternoon. Depending on the weather, pony rides will also be offered. Concessions including hot and cold beverages, mini donuts and others will be available in the store, but all activities will be conducted in the barn so make sure to dress for the weather.
