On their way to winning a nationwide wellness competition, the employees of Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire walked around the world – twice. Earlier this summer, Group Health’s employees were named the champions of the “On the Move” company challenge organized by the Wellness Council of America. Nearly 80,000 people nationwide took part in the 12-week online challenge. In total, Group Health employees walked 87 million steps, or about 43,000 miles! Their jobs may involve insuring others’ health, but all that activity certainly ensured their own health, too.
