With music festivals looming, it’s good to prepared, and when it comes to festival preparedness, look no further than the Back Alley Market hosted by Red’s Mercantile on the day before the Eaux Claires festival, June 15. You could peruse tons of vintage tees, denim, sundresses, sandals, and boots courtesy of vintage shop Prairie La Crosse (La Crosse). Or perhaps you need a fresh flower crown made of local wildflowers by bridal design house Linyage (Eau Claire). Maybe you’ll need some sleek modern jewelry to add to your collection from Token Jewelry (Eau Claire). Or how ’bout a tastefully embroidered trendsetting hat or shirt from Merfolk  Handmade? Clothing and other cool goods from Assembly Shop (Stevens Point)? Maybe you just need a good cup of Honest Roast Coffee (Eau Claire); it’s a special blend to raise funds for the Red Letter Grant to aid local women entrepreneurs and it’ll keep you awake all festival long. Need more? I can keep going. They’ve got cold press from N7 Cafe, a sneak peek at the forthcoming Dotter’s Books bookstore opening in Eau Claire in 2018, an open jam with surprise musicians popping up, Blugold Radio blasting over the speakers, and tarot readings by Paul Karker. It’s got just about everything you could possibly need to look and feel your best as you walk the Eaux Claires grounds. All you need to do is stay hydrated, and the market can take care of the rest.
