Eau Claire Jazz Inc. Is Looking for a New Executive Director

Garrett Denney |

A rising cultural tide raises all ships, and that includes at least one local arts nonprofit. Eau Claire Jazz, Inc. is behind some of your favorite local jazz events and is looking to add a paid part-time executive director to its ranks to add fuel to the fire. The group has seen several years of strong growth with the success of signature events like Gatsby’s Gala, an annual 1920’s-era swing dancing party, and the Eau Claire Jazz Festival, a multi-day event each spring that draws north of 120 bands to the area for competition, headliner concerts, and a downtown jazz club stroll featuring more than 15 venues in the heart of Eau Claire. The executive director would be responsible for overseeing the organization’s events, leading various student interns, and regularly presenting on the health of the organization to the board of directors. The ideal candidate has strong skill in administration, event planning, and marketing. A passion for music – particularly jazz – is strongly desired. The position is part-time (about 600 hours annually) and reports to the executive committee of the Eau Claire Jazz board of directors. For more information, email info@eauclairejazz.com
