Your Top 3 Favorite Bloody Marys

Our 'Best Bloody Mary' Category in Our Annual Reader Poll (2016) Yielded Some Spicy Results

Emily Kinzel

Bloody Marys continue to grow in size, style, and lavish accoutrements across the county. Entire chickens, pizzas, and cheeseburgers have been known to sit atop this beloved cocktail. Eau Claire may not have the craziest Bloody Mary's around, but we do have the tastiest! According to our 2016 Best Of The Chippewa Valley poll, Big T's Saloon, Milwaukee Burger Co., and Girolamo’s Court’n House have the best bloodies around. Carve out a weekend to try them all (or do it in one day) for yourself.

Big T's Saloon

Big T’s Bloody Mary is not for the faint of heart. Their Ultimate Bloody Mary could feed an army with its bouquet of various fixings. For only $7, enjoy a savory beverage while munching away at its shish-kabob'd snacks including cheeses, shrimp, sausage, veggies, a small deli sandwich, and of course bacon. What a whopper! Then for a little sweetness and a corny chuckle, a Laffy Taffy sneaks in among the 20+ ingredients. If you feel like you can take on the Ultimate Bloody Mary, it's well worth a shot.

Milwaukee Burger Company

Milwaukee Burger Co. quickly cautions their customers of their over the top Bloody Mary's. With eight different recipes, it is hard to choose which one is A-1. With affordable prices ranging from $5-7, you might just have to order them all? Milwaukee Burger’s bloodies are made to order. Whether you’re in the mood for “a bloody without the fuss," a hearty Bacon Bloody (made with bacon-infused vodka, brown sugar, jalapeno, and applewood bacon strips), or even the Big Mil Bloody for bloody fanatics (with a healthy dose of vodka adorned with a mini cheeseburger), you really can do no wrong.

Girolamo's Court'n House

Maybe you’re not all about the pizzazz and mounding decor. Maybe you just want a satisfying cocktail instead of a meal. Well, Girolamo's Court'n House understands and provides. For those focusing less on garnishes, the simple but mighty Bloody Mary at the Court’n House is sure to tickle your fancy. Their sleek recipe features the classics: a dill pickle, a couple of olives, and a beer chaser. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the friendly Wisconsin ambiance with a classic, delicious Bloody in hand. Paired with a cold beer, this Bloody Mary’s flavors have zing for days.
