A new extended-stay hotel has been planned for the south side of Eau Claire. The Eau Claire Plan Commission recently approved plans to build a new Home2 Suites by Hilton at 4109 Oakwood Hills Parkway, next to Manny’s Cocina and Oakwood Mall. Construction on the four-story, 84-room-hotel is expected to begin next month and will be completed by September 2019, the Leader-Telegram reported. According to the newspaper, the hotel will include “kitchens in all suites, an indoor pool, complimentary breakfast, fitness and business centers, and outdoor relaxation areas with fire pits.” Meanwhile, another extended-stay hotel, Candlewood Suites, is expected to open this fall nearby at 4937 Bullis Farm Road.
