There’s a buzz around town as everyone gears up for this year’s All-Star edition of Dancing with the Eau Claire Stars! Inspired by the hit ABC television show, this will be the 10th anniversary of the benefit held by the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre.

The friendly competition features teams composed of local celebrities paired with experienced dancers. The teams work with seasoned choreographers who help train them in the elegance of dance. This year competitors must perfect two performances: one tango, and a freestyle round of their choice. Teams begin working on their routines in late July, which gives them enough time to hone their skills by September.

Chances are high that you’ll know some of the faces on the dance floor. Everyone from local business executives and CEOs to school staff and bankers will be participating. The roster will also include regional media personalities, doctors, community volunteers, and department directors. The expert choreographers, many of whom hail from the Eau Claire School of Dance, should be no strangers either. Spectators are encouraged vote for their favorite team to help them win the Fan Favorite Award. Tickets are on sale now or can be purchased at the door.
