“Seducktive” by Kristin Kastein
mixed media, 2017Kristin Kastein is a wife, mother, and mixed media collage artist from Waupun, Wis.
“Seducktive” is a mesh of Kristin’s loves for nature, happy hour, and the beautiful state of Wisconsin. “Seducktive” was created as she envisioned a beer-drinking feathered friend in northern Wisconsin. Kristin enjoys creating surreal images that catch the attention of the viewer, which is usually followed by a chuckle. She incorporates a variety of materials into her collages which include her late grandmother’s vast collection of fabric, jewelry, and buttons. Her love for odd collage art started in high school. After being lovingly pushed by friends and family, Kristin created her own art brand, Mad Mae Designs. Mad Mae Designs was named after her daughter who also shares a love for art.
