Fur-kin Fest to raise money for humane society

Kensie Kiesow |

What is a “Fur-kin,” you may very well ask? Well, “fur kin” are our furry companions such as dogs and cats, but a “firkin” is a small keg where cask ale is fermented. At the Fur-kin Fest in Menomonie, you can enjoy specialty, local brews and wines paired with delicious food provided by Jake’s Supper Club while also benefiting the Dunn County Humane Society and all of the “fur kin” who need help. This event is family friendly, but only those aged over 21 can indulge in the expertly crafted beer and wine. Events and activities include a raffle and a blind auction where you can enter to win awesome prizes, and some animals available for adoption will be there to say hello as well! There will be a live performance by The Cutaways, and tickets for this event can be purchased at bit.ly/furkin2019. If you want more furry fun, visit the Dunn County Humane Society website for more updates and events.
