An entire week of Oktoberfest shenanigans awaits at the end of September at Lazy Monk Brewing in Eau Claire. The Porter Brothers kick off festivities on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 7pm with live music into the evening. The next day is family day from noon-2pm, offering relay races, an obstacle course, a photo booth, and more for free. Munch on German meats and cheeses at 6pm Tuesday during the Wurst-Kaseplatte Abendessen; platters serve two for $25, and advance tickets are available at the venue.

Wash it down Wednesday when Lazy Monk taps just one keg of Jarmila, a chocolatey specialty beer crafted in honor of a treasured family member. More food awaits Thursday at the Schnitzel Dinner – again, advance tickets only at $15 per person. The penultimate night of Oktoberfest will feature enough polka to get everyone moving with Liscio Jazz; and a single keg of Baltic Porter will get even the most motionless to tap their feet to the beat.

The grand finale is Saturday, Sept. 28, with a celebration from noon-11pm. Lazy Monk will tap the Golden Keg and serve up the very best German snacks from brats to pretzels smothered in imported mustard. Live music trills from the afternoon into the twilight, setting the scene for fun games and merry times.
