“Up Heave Problems” by Ned Gannon
2016, acrylic on arches, 18” x 24”

Ned Gannon is a local but quickly fading specter that can be lured into the corporeal world by wild canine sightings, art in all forms, and bright imaginative people.

“‘Up Heave Problems’ serves as an expression of my feelings about the upheaval of nonhuman/natural communities and the long-term effects, when we, as stewards, fail to recognize the inherent value of nonhuman life, including the lives of rivers, trees, and prairies as well as all of the other sentient beings.” – The Artist

Volume One finds its cover art in a number of ways, from local art shows to random emails to knowing someone who knows someone who knows a great artist. The art always originates from a current or former Chippewa Valley resident. If you'd like to submit cover art, send us a message.
