Idea Challenge Finalists Face Their Final Challenge

V1 Staff |

Five budding Eau Claire-area businesses have been named as finalists in the Idea Challenge, an annual contest that helps entrepreneurs launch their new products, services, or processes into the world. The businesses will make their final pitches on Dec. 10 at Co-Lab, 312 S. Barstow St., before one is chosen for the grand prize: $5,000 in reimbursable businesses expenses.

This year’s Idea Challenge finalists include Dr. Dan Czelatdko for Farm Doc Microgreens (year-round cultivation and sale of microgreens), Tomi Stoyanova for Spunky Kinder (designing and selling educational and minimalistic toys for children), Scott Zielski for SMARTcare (software for the home-care industry), Hunter Zaba for Zaba Sports Cards (trading cards for K-12 student athletes and their families), and Liz Fagen for Traveling Toasts (mobile bartending service for nontraditional event settings).

The Idea Challenge is a program of the Eau Claire Area Economic Development Corp. with the financial support of Northwestern Bank. The Eau Claire  Area EDC accepts applications for the Idea Challenge and works with applicants year-round. Learn more at eauclaire-wi.com.
