How much do you know about the makings of your Dairy State favorites? Around the Farm Table is a public TV program dedicated to the importance of healthy soil, food, and people hosted by fourth-generation organic dairy farmer Inga Witscher of Osseo. The show connects consumers to small thoughtful farmers through storytelling, forgotten recipes, and engaging entertainment.

Witscher was recently honored by Slow Food USA as one of 20 Snailblazer Award winners across 10 categories. The nonprofit group’s website states that the Slow Food USA awards are “a celebration of people going above and beyond for good, clean and fair food for all.”

The 2021 “Food Storyteller” category winner is praised for her inclusivity as she continues to spread the joy of good food and hearty living to viewers across the nation.

As its name suggests, Slow Food USA is intended to foster an alternative to the fast food lifestyle of 21st century humanity. The group, which has chapters nationwide, is dedicated to creating a world “where all people can eat food that is good for them, good for the people who grow it, and good for the planet.”
