The “Constellations” exhibit at Artisan Forge Studios served as the backdrop for their recent showbiz production. Featuring themes in the cosmos, romance, multiverse, and zodiac, over 25 artists collaborated to create a unique experience in space – some for the first time. “It reached a big audience for us,” said Kelly Speros, event organizer at Artisan Forge Studios.

To celebrate the exhibit’s last day, Artisan Forge is hosting a “Paint to Poetry” event featuring the artists and bringing in interactive elements. The first hour of the night is a cozy invitation for community members to enjoy the artwork and mingle while listening to local jazz musician Tyler Lustek live on the piano. The second hour will feature the artists speaking about their pieces in poetry or short form. Rounding out the night, visitors can sign up to share their work in a final poetry slam.

With café tables catered to an intimate yet casual feel, folks can grab a drink (with beer and wine offered); indulge in homemade chocolates from the in-house bakery, Sweet Driver Café; and share an appreciation for all forms of art presented.

“(Years ago), there were poetry slams everywhere,” Speros explained. “I feel like that was something that fell away, and with COVID, people were shut up. Things are starting to open up again and now is a good time for people to get out and express themselves and be a part of the community.”

“Paint to Poetry” will take place at Artisan Forge Studios on Thursday, March, 30 from 6-9pm. Free for all who are interested, this event is aimed at encouraing creativity and exploration of art. “A lot of people know we have a lot of 2D and 3D art, but we want to start having a presence with performance art with poetry and literature,” Speros said. “I want to diversify our art.”
