The Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley is squeezin’ fun learning opportunities for all they’re worth, this summer’s Lemonade Day event is a perfect example.

From 10am-3pm on Thursday, August 3, the local organization will be setting up Lemonade Day stands throughout all five of the communities it serves: Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Altoona, Black River Falls, and Menomonie.

“In addition to raising funds and awareness for the Boys & Girls Clubs, Lemonade Day is an event where our kids learn about becoming an entrepreneur and the importance of marketing, financial literacy, customer service, joint ventures, and more,” Angela Payne, the organization’s director of resource development, said.

Participating kiddos work in groups, either in the morning or afternoon Lemonade Day shifts. As part of the learning experience, the event’s premier sponsor, US Bank, will visit each of the area Clubs to teach the kids more about financial literacy.

Folks are still welcome to become a sponsor of the event as well or simply donate to the organization.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley has served nearly 8,000 total area youths through its community outreach. Keep up with them on Facebook and learn more about how to get involved on their website.
