Following a nationwide search, United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley, a health and human service organization serving Chippewa and Eau Claire counties, has named Ryan Ludy as its new Executive Director.

Miriam Gehler, current Chair of the Board of Directors enthusiastically stated, "Ryan’s passion for United Way’s mission, the staff, the board and our Chippewa Valley communities will only carry the positive momentum that is currently in play and support the larger challenges we know lay ahead."

Ryan follows Andy Neborak who was the Executive Director from 2020-23. Andy shares, "Ryan is destined to have a smooth transition into this important role. He has gained a great foundation of knowledge from his time as a dedicated United Way volunteer and he has earned a strong support system through his contributions to many Chippewa Valley organizations. Ryan is a great fit for this position and I look forward to doing anything I can to support him and the success of the organization.”

UNITED WAY OF THE GREATER CHIPPEWA VALLEY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ryan’s employment history includes Mortgage Lending and Market Development with Prevail Bank, Team Lead and Lodge Guide with Leinenkugel’s and in sales, finance, and management at both Markquart Motors and Johnson Motors.

Active in the community, Ryan is a member of the Young Professionals of the Chippewa Valley, the Eau Claire Noon Rotary, and the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce Ambassador group, earning Ambassador of the Year in 2023. Volunteering is important to Ryan who previously was a “Big” for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin, the President of the Altoona PTO, and currently is an instructor for Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Northwest Region.

It connects so many aspects of our community to improve the quality of life for each of us.” Ryan goes on to say, “I'm thrilled to be part of this organization and can't wait to see the impact of our collective efforts. I am beyond excited to take on this role and continue the impact and momentum that United Way has in the Chippewa Valley!”

Ryan resides in Altoona with his wife, Beth and their three children, Joseph, Lily and Reagan. They are huge Wisconsin sports fans and love to partake in all that the Chippewa Valley has to offer.

United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley invests $1,000,000 in 28 programs and 22 organizations in the areas of Education, Health, Financial Stability, Basic Needs and Digital Equity. Its mission is to improve lives and build stronger Chippewa Valley communities by bringing resources together to advance the common good.

A special thank you to Kelly Christianson, Lead Community Impact Director, for serving as the Interim Executive Director during this transition period. Ryan Ludy will begin his new role with United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley on Friday, July 14, 2023.
