Not content, as many are, to simply wear his Volume One T-shirt to the grocery store, Laundromat, drive-in movie theatre, and other such mundane locales, Tim Wolter got ambitious and wore his snazzy T on a quick trip a while back to Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland (northern England). • The “scene” in Northumberland is as follows:
• Inhabitants: Uniformly friendly. Roughly a 3:1 sheep to human ratio.
• Entertainment: Not much. Pubs have Quiz Nights, which is kind of like the Millionaire show with Guiness but without the millions.
• Drink: An earthly paradise. Ales, Lagers, Ciders. Most local and all superb.
• Food: Darn near anything can be called “Pudding.” Quality ranges from serviceable, starchy junk food to the genuine horror of haggis with “nips and tatters.”
