November Grace, a design store, launched in Chippewa Falls in June. The store, 45 E. Elm St. (next to the Garage Salon), offers a variety of unique home furnishing and personal items, both new and vintage.

Owner Jill Widiker said Chippewa Falls is a city full of history, and her store fits right in. She chose to open a store in Chippewa Falls because of the people who live and work there and the strong sense of community, noting both the people and local store owners are friendly and leave one with a sense of feeling welcome. She wanted to do the same. The location is in a historic building from the 1920s, which was beautifully restored to include exposed brick walls, steel support beams, and concrete floors. Widiker says she hopes that when people enter the shop they get a chance to leave stress behind, be inspired by their surroundings, and feel at home.

November Grace offers design concepts and one-of-a-kind goods that are unique to the store and not available elsewhere in the Chippewa Valley.

“We’ve sourced lines of quality home furnishings including special-order furniture, lamps, mirrors, accessories, and linens in neutral tones that foster a relaxed, lived-in sophistication,” Widiker said. November Grace also hosts many local artists who offer vintage furnishings, papergoods, clothing, heirloom-quality furniture crafted from reclaimed wood, jewelry, watercolor art, handmade textiles, goat milk soap, handmade signs, and a variety of unique gifts. The store has a team of antique seekers who collect unique pieces from sources such as flea markets and estate sales, curating them to fit the aesthetic quality of the shop. Widiker reported that some of the vintage goods are left in their original condition and others are restored and refreshed. In addition to vintage offerings, the store has new, high-quality lines of items from as far away as Europe.

In addition to selling furnishings, November Grace offers customers in-home design consultations and design boards.

Widiker said she hopes her family-run business can call Chippewa Falls home for many years to come, and she aims to expand to e-commerce and shipping through the store’s website in the future.

November Grace is open Tuesdays from 10am-5pm, Thursdays from 10am-7pm, and every second Thursday-Saturday of the month. Find them at www.facebook.com/NovemberGraceHome.
