No one can argue the importance of a tasty espresso drink on a nice fall day – or any day, for that matter. Bridge Street Brew (114 N. Bridge St., Chippewa Falls) has been serving up exciting, distinctive coffee drinks and delectable grub to the Chippewa Valley since 2017, and they’re not slowing down any time soon.

Owners Paul and Donna Krause aimed to create a coffee shop of their own after Paul spent 30 years working in the restaurant business. With the help of their daughters, Bridge Street Brew has become an essential part of Chippewa Falls’ iconic Bridge Street and in the Valley as a whole.

The cozy, beautifully decorated coffee shop boasts extensive breakfast, lunch, and drink menus. Top sellers include breakfast crepes and sandwiches and wraps for lunch – make sure to check out the “Big Sky,” a wrap with turkey, lettuce, tomato, avocado, bacon, pepper jack cheese, cilantro, and lime mayo. Yum.

Something that continues to bring people into the shop is Bridge Street Brew’s specialty drink menus, which changes every four to six weeks. Listed on a carefully crafted menu display, their current “80s Fright Night” menu includes five unique caffeinated beverages – including Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Friday the 13th, Evil Dead, Children of the Corn, and El Vira – all of which have their own special twist on otherwise basic coffee drinks. Often quirkily named, each of the coffee joint’s specialty items is a can’t-miss.

While the delicious food and drinks that have been created over the past six years have been fun to curate, both Paul and Donna agree that the best part of owning the business has been meeting the amazing people in the community along the way.

“We see a lot of new people coming in, but it’s really special to have the same regulars coming in,” Paul said. “Being able to get to know your customers is great.”

“We love being a part of the community,” Donna added.
