As our culture continues to blanket itself in the vast array of technologies, artists come together to reflect digital life in their work, and challenge traditional creative media. The current exhibit at the Foster Gallery, Changing the Way We Think…New Media Art, does just that. The show’s curator and assistant professor of art and design Jian Luo, is exhibiting her own work in conjunction with a host of other artists, including Doreen Maloney, Matt Frieburghaus, Silvia Ruzanka, Shawn Decker, Dmitry Strakovsky, Yuichiro Nishizawa, Taylor Hokanson, and Christopher Furman. Featured art runs the digital spectrum, from a robotic installation, to interactive computer-based performance, to animation and video. New Media Art will run at the Foster until Dec. 2. Gallery hours are 10am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, 6-8pm Thursday and 1-4:30pm Saturday and Sunday.
