New Eau Claire Horseshoe League Trots Into Town

Sarah Dobs |

Did you know Eau Claire has a horseshoe club? Well we do, apparently, and they’re in the process of recruiting new members. No matter your age, talent, or gender, everyone is welcome to the club. Their annual meeting (March 3 at Maple Manor Banquet at 7pm) will inform new members about all the advantages of pitching horseshoes. This year the club is forming a junior league, which will include middle school- and high school-aged members. Besides all the exercise and new friends members make, members are rewarded with the chance to play in state-sanctioned tournaments as well as the World Tournament if lucky enough to succeed. For one year adults pay $28 and juniors only $5. Games are played at Carson Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 6:30pm.
