Want a crazy way to spice up the holidays and put those Thanksgiving calories to use? Overdrive Cycling Club presents the Princeton Valley Cyclocross Race at the Eau Claire golf course as a benefit for Feed My People. Cyclocross is a wild form of bike racing that takes place on a course featuring various terrains and obstacles. Racers need to dismount and carry their bikes as they navigate the obstructions with daring and speed. The course for this race is ready for all levels of bikers, complete with hills, trees, sand, jumps, and undeveloped field terrain. The cost includes a turkey meal, a commemorative beer goblet provided by Point Brewery, and first aid on the course. Registration is from 10am to 11:30am followed by three different races. C Race at noon is recommended for men, women, and children of all ages and levels. B Race at 12:45pm is for male and female single speed racers. A Race at 1:45pm is recommended for advanced riders. A mountain bike, hybrid bike, or track bike along with a fierce spirit are the only main requirements to enter. Perhaps experiencing the race from the bike seat isn’t for you. Come watch without fear of cold, broken bones, or dirt spray. Yankee Jack’s offers warm and comfortable seating where you can see 90% of the race.
