Out of nearly 250,000 self-published books released last year, Kirkus Reviews editor Karen Schechner chose Looking In The Mirror Out as one of the top 100 independent books of 2012. The part memoir, part journal by local author Nora Nita Bates details her challenges with multiple personality and dissociative identity disorder. Bates writes about the 18 personalities in her head, and she “savors her triumphs and accepts setbacks with grace,” according to Kirkus Reviews. Looking In The Mirror Out is available at The Local Store and through online retailers.
