Still Tangled After All These Years

Ed Hudgins |

Tangled Up in Hue on Barstow Street has become a fixture and major part of the downtown Eau Claire experience since Erin Roesler and Jamie Kyser opened its doors five years ago. Its website describes it as “one-of-a-kind art collective in Eau Claire,” and it is certainly that: a local store selling local stuff made by local artisans. That “local stuff” includes everything from framed art to soaps to comic books to batik to liqueur bottle lamps. It is likely one of the most interesting shops you will ever visit. Tangled Up in Hue is hosting its fifth anniversary celebration from 6-9pm on Friday, Feb. 7. There will be food, a raffle, and live music, along with a 20 percent discount on merchandise. The featured artist is Charles Davis, local painter and illustrator.
