Eau Claire music veterans Jonathon Seeley, Adam Thoms and Alyssa Rieper have banded together to create a new expansive folk/country group, Heart Of The Heart. The three-piece – with the help of a handful of other EC musicians including Addie Strei, Ben Hinz, Evan Middlesworth, and Jaime Hanson – released its first single, “Seven Of Hearts” in February. The song has a slow build into an epic, emotional climax punctuated by growing harmonies and a sizzling, fuzzed-out guitar buried under the wash of voices and instrumentation. The huge nature of Heart Of The Heart is perfected illustrated by their album art, depicting the trio as ancient warriors.
