Get ready to enjoy some delicious fair food, entertainment by nationally known performers (including The Beach Boys, Clint Black, Dennis DeYoung with the music of Styx, and Granger Smith), high-speed and thrilling carnival rides and games of chance and skill, and all kinds of local talent on display at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair in Chippewa Falls. This year’s attractions include a daily carnival (unlimited ride wristbands are available for $22 each through July 11, or for $27 at the fair); live entertainment including a comedy show, a magic show, a local talent show, and a bull riding show; a Lego building event; locals (including kids) showing animals and displaying a variety of items including crafts and baked goods; and much more. You’ll find the good times that only come once a year when the fair is in town. Daily admission is just $10 for adults and $4 for children over the age of 6 (although some mainstage concerts require an additional ticket).

Northern Wisconsin State Fair • July 12-16 • 225 Edward Street, Chippewa Falls • daily passes: $10 adult, $4 children, kids under 6 free • for other ticket details and full schedule, visit nwsfa.com
