Ashley for the Arts, one of Wisconsin’s largest charity events – last year it drew more than 30,000 people – will take place Aug. 10-12 at Memorial Park in Arcadia. The three-day festival is packed with music, food, art, and more for every member of the family. Ashley for the Arts kicks off Thursday afternoon with the Pursuit of a Cure 5K Run/Walk, along with opening and closing ceremonies. The festival will be hosting live music performances throughout Friday and Saturday. Three Dog Night, Kip Moore, Echosmith, Neal McCoy, Gavin DeGraw, NEEDTOBREATHE, and Montgomery Gentry are heading this year s lineup. Catch these bands and artists, along with many more, on four different stages throughout the park. Artists and crafters will be showcasing their talents at the Ashley for the Arts Fair. View cars at the annual Cruisin’ for the Arts Car Show and enjoy a variety of food and beverages from vendors. The festival also includes a youth obstacle course, a hot air balloon launch, raffles, and much more for a low cost. Two miles of walkways, decorated with local art and history, guide visitors to the variety of attractions and performances throughout the park. Ashley for the Arts, established by Ashley Furniture Industries, raises more than $300,000 each year for more than 30 nonprofit organizations. Proceeds from the festival go towards participating schools, children’s charities, medical research, and financial support organizations for cancer patients. A full schedule of events can be found at ashleyforthearts.com. Wristbands for Ashley for the Arts will be available for purchase at the gate for $10.
