Volume One invites you to celebrate your love for the place you live at the inaugural Best Night event at the Lismore in downtown Eau Claire on Feb. 9. This event coincides with the release of the Best of the Chippewa Valley Reader Poll results to celebrate all that’s great about our home. “I am so excited for this event, it is hard to narrow it down to just one or two things!” Michelle Rowekamp, the event coordinator, said.

This moving, living event welcomes guests with a red carpet. Wander inside and stumble upon a roving performances by the UWEC Players, En Avant School of Dance, Bike Think, and the Torch Sisters. Stop by Ambient Inks’ table to choose a souvenir poster and watch them print it before your eyes. Grab a drink at a beer-and-wine or gin-and-whiskey bar before visiting Clearwater Comedy’s nano comedy club inside the V1 van, or experiencing a cyber space with Voxel Virtual Reality. If you’d like to get off your feet, chill in a lounge pod and listen to DJs Billy Siegel and Mathew Mabis spin some vinyl. And of course, spend some time with your fellow Chippewa Vallians who help make this party possible.

The inaugural Chippewa Valley Vanguard honorees will be announced throughout the evening, bringing the community together to celebrate our great and growing Chippewa Valley home. “We have so many amazing people in the Chippewa Valley working hard to make this a great place to live,” Rowekamp said. “These awards are important for the future of the Chippewa Valley, not only to recognize individuals who are doing amazing things, but to inspire others to follow in their example and keep the valley moving forward.”
