El Centro Offers Scholarship

El Centro de Conexión de Chippewa Valley, a nonprofit organization that advocates for cultural awareness of Latino and Latina people in the region, is now accepting applications for the 2018 BriLLA (Bringing Latino Leaders Adelante) scholarship. El Centro will award two $500 scholarships to support students in achieving a postsecondary education. Applicants should be Latinx high school or college students who reside within 60 miles of Eau Claire, and whose educational and career goals support El Centro’s mission to promote multiculturalism in order to ensure safe, inclusive communities. Submissions are welcome from students in any field of study with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. Applications are due by 11:59pm on Friday, March 23, and recipients will be announced at El Centro’s annual meeting April 6.
