Gary Busha |

not a leaf stirs
the reluctant sun appears
ears down like a dog

ach ach september
she sends her gusts over fields
under the wood pile

sometimes when snow falls
doves in bare branches whisper
in heavy silence

what things seem to last
streaks of light in morning mist
laughter on the lake

talking to myself
on another fine winter day
with nothing to say
