UW-Eau Claire Gatsby’s Gala takes guests to the ’20s

Abby Norton |

Gatsby’s Gala is returning to UW-Eau Claire to provide folks with an authentic 1920s party experience, courtesy of Eau Claire Jazz Inc. The fifth annual gala promises a musical and visual experience reminiscent of the Roaring ’20s era. And roar it will, as the Gala will feature non-stop music from UW-Eau Claire’s Jazz I and Jazz II ensembles, including a modern setlist with a ’20s feel, as well as special guests The Niskas, Sue Orfield, Christine Hitt, and more. Students and community members alike are encouraged to attend. Anyone who feels Halloween isn’t the only time to dress in costume will be happy to hear appropriate gala attire is 1920s-inspired black-tie! The gala will take place in the Ojibwe Ballroom of UW-Eau Claire’s Davies Center. Doors open at 7:30pm, and attendees are encouraged to grab a drink, mingle, and take in the sights in sounds before the bands begin at 8pm. Tickets are on sale now for $35 general admission and $20 for students, and can be purchased online.
