The Chippewa Falls Rotary Foundation presents Springfest, a weekend filled with activities, music, and events for the whole family. Throughout the weekend local bands and musicians – including Rockin Ivy, the Sue Orfield Band, and Doug Wozniak’s one-man polka band – will perform. Each day more than 40 exhibitors and vendors will be present to show and sell their spring- and summer-themed products and services. Kids can play away the hours in the expansive inflatable world or in Cassidy’s Critters petting zoo. On Sunday, they’ll have the chance to ride a pony, get their faces painted, or receive a balloon animal – all free of charge. The kubb tournament on Saturday is open to beginner and experienced teams, and promises a day of competitive fun. Teams should be sure to register in advance in order to guarantee a spot. The classic car show, also on Saturday, will include door prizes for spectators and award trophies to the most noteworthy rides. The first two nights will close with live music by local band Contradiction on Friday and Wisconsin party band Boogie & the Yo-Yoz on Saturday. Sunday will be a free family day – sponsored by the Chippewa Falls Rotary Club – and will include vendors, the children’s section, and performances by EXA Sports All Star Cheer and Gymnastics and the Chi-Hi wire choir. The Rotary Club will donate all proceeds to local nonprofits and scholarships. Over the years, $109,000 has been given back to the community thanks to Springfest.
