Two well-known restaurants in the Chippewa Valley now have new identities after changes in ownership; but despite their name changes, these two establishments still provide welcoming atmospheres with delectable food and drinks.

CRAZY FOR CRANKY’S

Cranky’s 312 Bar and Grill (formerly Dana’s), 6905 Texaco Drive, Eau Claire, boasts a welcoming vibe with both dine-in and take-out options. This local bar and grill offers a variety of great foods with large portions at an amazing price because the owners never want anyone to leave their restaurant hungry! Cranky’s offers a cozy, cabin-themed atmosphere that includes a sports bar, and will soon launch online menu options as well. For business hours and additional information, check them out on Facebook at facebook.com/Crankys312.

FLAMING FOSTER’S FIRESIDE

The new owners of Foster’s Fireside (formerly Foster Cheese Haus) just off I-94 outside Osseo are focusing on pizza. They changed things up because the previous name made some people think the establishment was only a cheese house. The wood-fire stove inside makes for an endless variety of pizzas made with fresh, local, and made-from-scratch ingredients. Some of their signature pizzas include a dessert pizza called “Gimme S’more,” a Big Mac-inspired pizza called “McLovin,’” and a Parmesan Pesto Chicken pizza. The restaurant also has a full bar with wine, beer, and cheese still on the menu. The owners hope to expand their menu in the future and also provide a dog park for those traveling with furry family members.
