Heard good things about the Pourhouse, so we decided to check it out last Friday night. Ended up being a weird, disappointing experience for several reasons. #1. It was a nice night, so after looking around inside we thought we'd take advantage of the outdoor seating. Waitress/bartender told us that was fine, but we should put our orders in first because "I'll probably forget about you." Gnats ended up chasing us inside anyway, but still. Odd. #2. Banner outside advertised fish fry (walleye & cod) from 4-9. We got there at six, and cod sounded good. 15 minutes after ordering, waitress/bartender came out to tell us they were out of walleye. We said we were sorry to hear that, but we had cod. She said, "I mean fish. We're out of all fish." This was after she had told us that we would get fries instead of potatoes (because the potatoes "aren't working out tonight"), and that she would check to see if they had sweet potato fries (menu clearly offered the choice of regular or sweet potato). So we went with the BBQ pork pizza instead. BBQ pork on a thin, wheat crust with BBQ sauce? Sounded delicious. #3. Pizza took forever to come out. Our friends had their food for a good 15 minutes before the waitress/bartender even checked on it. And when it finally came out, it had marinara instead of BBQ sauce. Gross, but we were starving at this point, so we ate it anyway. Still paying for it two days later. All in all, not a great experience. Our friends were very happy with their sandwiches, so if we ever go back, we'll probably stick with that. Other thoughts: *$18 for two pitchers of Leinie's seemed a bit steep. *Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, but even though there was only one other group there, it was hard to find seating for our group of four. Options were couches (nice, but not practical for eating), bar (fine, but not good for a group of four who want to talk), or a massive, 10 person table (way too big). We ended up squeezing around a small table pushed into a corner, with two people crammed on one side. Not great. *Waitress/bartender was very friendly, despite the poor (pour?) service.

We have not “dined in” at this restaurant but we have had the pizza on a take out. Lots of original pizza choices. Great service and good food!
