Best New Restaurant

1st Place: Hangar 54 Grill
2nd Place: Monk’s Bar & Grill
3rd Place: Ninja Japanese House

Your first-place winner is Hangar 54 Grill (3800 Starr Ave., Eau Claire), which took the place of the old Connell’s II at the airport. Credit their success to the combination of an inviting atmosphere, great service, and delicious dishes such as pulled pork sandwiches, steaks, huge Bloody Marys, and Hangar Bombs. In second place, football-focused Monk’s Bar & Grill (3560 Oakwood Mall Drive, Eau Claire) serves up burgers, sandwiches, and all the essential game day appetizers in a fun environment. Ninja Japanese House (405 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire) serves sushi, hibachi, noodles, and classic Asian dishes. And they’re open until 2am Fridays and Saturdays for the only late-night sushi fix in town. — Amanda Foxcroft
