What’s a restaurant, culinary program, or food truck without a fantastic chef leading it to victory? Winning by a landslide for best chef in the Chippewa Valley is Amy Huo of the food truck Locavore. Huo, a past contestant on Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games, cooks up locally sourced burgers, salads, and sides for her food truck. Kevin Brown, who helped launch the Chippewa Valley Technical College Culinary Program last year, came in second place. In third place is Nathan Berg of The Lakely (516 Galloway St., Eau Claire), a longtime standout on the Valley’s food scene. — Emilee Wentland
