This 2 mile run/walk in beautiful Carson Park is ranked one of the top 10 races in Wisconsin. It’s family friendly and tough enough for the hard-core competitors. This 2 and 5 mile run/walk in and around beautiful Carson Park and downtown Eau Claire is ranked one of the top 10 races in Wisconsin. Held in late August/early September.

All money raised from this fun and healthy event will be used to fund extra activities, projects and field trips not covered by school budgets. Online includes free t-shirt and color pack. Chippewa Valley Montessori FootSlog Trail Run & Nature Walk

A 5K trail run/walk and family friendly 1 mile footslog featuring a nature quest/scavenger hunt. This event takes place on the beautiful Lowe's Creek Trails in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Proceeds of this fun, family friendly event benefit the Chippewa Valley Montessori Charter School. The event begins and ends at the pavilion/bathroom area.

Color Run

The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality. The YMCA is looking for 200 volunteers to help with this amazing and colorful event to make it not only successful, but fun for everyone participating. Go online for more information. Colordash 5k - Benefiting The Eau Claire Children's Theatre

The Color Dash is a color-based fun run benefiting the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre. Runners will start with a clean white shirt and at each kilometer colored powder will be thrown at the runners, resulting in runners covered in color by the end of the run.

More than 3,000 runners will take to the streets for the eighth annual Eau Claire Marathon.The full marathon may have sold out, but there is still space to register for the Half Marathon. The 5K, Kid's Run, and Diaper Dash also still have registrations available. Supports various charities around the Chippewa Valley.

Eau Claire Run Row Ride

The "Tri" Eau Claire Run Row Ride is a fun event to raise money for youth recreation scholarships. The triathlon follows the shores of the Chippewa River in Eau Claire, WI and is a non-timed event. Ride 10 mines through Eau Claire streets county roads, then run three miles on the beautiful Chippewa River Trail up to Phoenix Park, then row the river route from Phoenix Park to the landing behind Hobbs Ice Center. Held in mid-August.

Eau Claire Team Hope Walk for the Huntington's Disease Society of America

Fund-raise for the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA). Form a team to participate in either a 5K run/walk or 1 mile walk to raise awareness and hope for a cure for Huntington’s Disease, a rare genetic neurodegenerative disorder that deteriorates a person’s physical and mental abilities. Held in late August.

Eau Claire Triathlon

Beginners and veteran triathletes alike have used our Sprint Triathlon as a great way to get their summers started with a bang. Compete individually or as part of a team. The race course includes a swim in Halfmoon Lake, a bike ride through the rolling hills of western Wisconsin countryside, and a run through historic Carson Park. Held in early June.

Fall Back Blast Trail Run

A fun but challenging trail run using the single track and ski trails of Eau Claire’s finest County Park. Your distance choices include a 50K, 25K and 12.5K. The race is limited to the first 300 registrants, so sign up before it’s too late. Check-in begins at 6:30am. Race begins at 8am. Held in Nov.

A 5 mile run and a 2 mile walk and is open to everyone of all ages and abilities. This event is meant to be fun for the whole family, not just seasoned athletes. The Turkey Trot is perfect for anyone who wants to kick off Thanksgiving Day with a bit of exercise and a lot of fun.

Fido & Friends Fun Run

Fundraiser for the Eau Claire County Humane Association. Registration begins at 11am with the fun run starting at noon. Your furry friend is welcome to participate in the talent show. Vendor tables to visit and food concessions will be available. Held in late May.

An eight-mile and three-mile run. Through the open fields, rolling hills, and dairy farms west of Chippewa Falls. Each participant receives a long sleeve shirt. There will be several prizes, food, beverages, and home-cooked chili. The race may be cold, but that just makes you the hottest thing out there. Held in early December.

Fun run while wearing your favorite "Ugly Sweater". There will have warm beverages and sweet treats to follow. A prize will be awarded for the "ugliest" or as some might say the "most festive" holiday attire. Collecting donations of new warm mitten/gloves , hats, scarfs, boots or jackets for a local charity. Held in mid-December.

Northstar Middle School Family Fun Run

Locust Lane PTO and Northstar PTSA host an Annual 2 Mile Family Run. Also a 1/4 mile run for the kids along the track. Each participant will be entered for prize drawings and fun family activities will be available. All proceeds from the event support student programs at our schools. Registration forms are available on school webpages and in their main offices. Held in late May.

The Oz Run

Wizard of Oz themed 5K Run/Walk and Half Marathon benefitting Irvine Park and this year: Chippewa County 4-H. Registered runners get race shirt and medal. Finish line festival with runner costume contest, prizes for top finishers, live music, hot dogs and brats, beer and root beer, petting zoo, bounce house and more. A local race benefitting local groups. Held in late May.

Puddle Jump 5k Fun Run/Walk

Puddle Jump proceeds will help fund Longfellow's After-School 21st Century Community Learning Center (C.L.C.) and student scholarships for community programs. Groups can register as a team and receive t-shirts with their team name printed on it. Registration begins at 7:30, with the Wheel Chair Division beginning at 8:50. Register online or pick up a registration form. Held in mid-April.

Run With the Cops 5K for Special Olympics

Join dozens of law enforcement officers for this 5k to benefit local Special Olympics athletes. Do you have what it takes to outrun the cops? This unique evening glow run follows a 5k run and 1 mile walk route on campus and through parts of downtown Eau Claire. There’s also a kids’ ¼ mile run. Get a T-shirt and coffee and donuts afterwords. Held in October.

Shamrock Shuffle 5k

The Shamrock Shuffle 5K starts on UW-Eau Claire’s upper campus, down the infamous Garfield Avenue hill, over the scenic university footbridge and follows the river up the beautiful Chippewa Valley River trail. The race is a loop that begins and ends at the McPhee Physical Education Center. Race is open to any fitness level.
