The Local Store Grand Opening!

Visit The Local Store, Volume One's brand spankin' new retail space in downtown Eau Claire and help celebrate our grand opening with 20% off all merchandise all day long. The Local Store is your place for locally-created merchandise, including books by local authors, local music, local DVDs, local art prints, local postcards, Volume One merchandise (ranging from t-shirts to water bottles and caps) plus lots of other great local things. Holidaze Arts Festival

Thousands of people for the past 22 years have shopped at the Holidaze Arts Festival in downtown Eau Claire. There will be over 100 quality fine art and crafts exhibitors, each selling hand-made goods to delight your shopping list. Complete your Christmas list early and locally. In Underneath the Lintel, a reclusive librarian finds a book 123 years overdue and he's compelled to embark on a worldwide quest to track down the borrower. In the process he uncovers a mystery that transcends the ages. Or is he just mad? Featuring Patrick O'Brien, whom some might recognize as Mr. Dewey from Saved By the Bell (other shows: Monk, The West Wing; films: Pleasantville, Catch Me if you Can). The Backwards-Thinkers Society

The UWEC Players present an evening of improv with The Backwards-Thinkers Society! Have a blast with funny sketches, short improv games, and audience participation. Since this is the group's first show, there will be a small donation box to help get them on their feet. The improv troupe from Memorial High School will be getting this party started.
