There’re a few things every ad jingle needs: a catchy beat you can snap your fingers to, some soothing back-up singers, and a message that’s simple and sticks in people’s heads. That message usually shouldn’t be a scathing commentary on the methods used to produce the product you’re advertising for, but Michael Rambo, lead singer of The Michael Rambo Project, felt that that was exactly what the new Folgers Coffee jingle needed.

Given the chance to submit to Folgers’ 2011 jingle contest, Rambo created what he calls the “anti-jingle,” aiming to promote fair trade and economic sustainability over people's desire to drink a cheap cup of coffee. And while the subject matter may be heavy, you can still snap your fingers to the commerical's beat. Check it out:

Pretty catchy, right? It’s doubtful you’ll be seeing this thing hit the airwaves anytime soon, but if you want to check out more Michael Rambo jingles, you can head over to the website for Ear to Hear Productions, a jingle producing company Rambo started last year. Of course,  if your business uses any shady practices, it's probably best if you just stay away.
