Win two tickets to either the Friday or Saturday headliner concert OR two 52nd Street wristbands

Headliner Concerts: The Eau Claire Regional Arts Center: State Theatre

  • Friday, April 20 at 7:30pm
  • Saturday, April 21st at 7:00pm

2018 Headliner Performers:

Bob Mintzer & Bobby Sanabria

When he isn’t teaching future musicians, Mintzer can be found touring the country with the Yellowjackets, a 13-time Grammy nominated jazz band. The Yellowjackets consists of four band members who equally contribute to the making decisions, arranging and writing. There is no leader in the group so that each member has an equal part in developing the band’s sound and identity. Mintzer also records music and tours with his quartet and big band. On top of playing alongside other musicians, Mintzer travels the country as a soloist and as a conductor when he finds the time.

Mintzer will surely bring his background of both teaching and performing to the 52nd annual Eau Claire Jazz Festival during his clinic and shows. Be sure to get your tickets for the headliner concerts that will be featuring Bob Mintzer and Bobby Sanabria alongside University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Jazz Ensemble I on both Friday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
52nd Street:

  • Friday, April 20 from 5:30pm-2:00am
  • Downtown on Barstow Street (From Lake Street to Galloway)

The Eau Claire Jazz Festival celebrates the true culture of jazz as Downtown Eau Claire transforms into a jazz nightclub scene. 52nd Street is a re-creation of the historic 52nd Street of New York City, where jazz greats like Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, and Louis Armstrong sat in with different ensembles in a variety of nightclubs, simply because they loved to play jazz.  Over 50 bands play at indoor and outdoor venues along Barstow Street in downtown Eau Claire, featuring a variety of music styles, including ragtime, blues, acoustic, big band, indie, funk, soul, pop, hip-hop and more. It's an exciting night of live music downtown - you never know who might bring their horn to sit in!  Join over 3,000 people to enjoy this once a year party!
