STOUT CRAFT CO.

Formerly Stout Ale House, Stout Craft Co. recently got a total rebrand of the restaurant. With new paint, new TVs, new neon, new trimwork, a new bar, and newly added axe throwing (a first for Menomonie!), this restaurant is sure to be a hit. Featuring craft burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and appetizers; 25 LED TVs and two projection screens; private skybox rooms for small parties; and games like pool, darts, axe throwing, tables, and boards, and the Broadway Bowl located right next door with 20 bowling lanes, Stout Craft Co. has no shortage of options to make your night out one for the books. Along with their slew of craft beers and burgers, general manager Jay Ouellette said a top seller is their Sizzlin’ Cajun Jalapeño Burger: a jalapeño-infused burger with jalapeño bottle caps, onion rings, pico de gallo, pepperjack cheese, and Cajun sauce. Squeaky cheese curds, fried pickles, nachos, pretzel bites, buffalo chicken dips, smothered hot beef sandwiches, reubens, bacon ranch wraps, taco salad, gouda macaroni and cheese, Friday night fish fries, and ice cream cakes are just a few of their mouth-watering options. They also  have daily specials available from 4 to 9pm. If you’re playing it safe and not quite ready to dine-in because of the pandemic, Stout Craft Co. even offers online ordering options (see stoutcraftco.com for details).

WILSON CREEK INN

The thought of Wilson Creek Inn, 932 N. Broadway, should bring warm thoughts of old-fashioned Friday fish fries and prime rib Saturdays. The owners, Jim Maguire and Kim Spizale, initially weren’t looking to get into the food industry, but noticed a need for a more upscale dining experience. The two take pride in using cast iron skillets for most dishes to produce a flavorful experience, and thus receive lots of local rave for their ribeye and fillets. The scallops and unique pasta dishes seem to be gaining some traction in popularity as well – not to mention that the woodwork and dining scene are unmatched. Maguire and Spizale wanted to show off the original restaurant’s look, so instead of a complete remodeling, they decided a little rejuvenation was all the club needed. (The building formerly housed Skoog’s Parkside.) On your next night out, be sure to add this unique eatery in your plans. The Wilson Creek Inn is perfect for those nights you’re wanting a formal dining experience but don’t want to stray too far from home. Learn more at wilsoncreekinn.com.
