Sawdust City Limits is back with a powerful local lineup

V1 Staff |

Serving up a genre-bending eight-act sampler platter of local music, the third-ever Sawdust City Limits concert will bring the scene together yet again for one night only at The Plus on Sept. 16 at 7pm. Jon Olstadt of rock band Drunk Drivers is the mind behind the madness – and one of the performers. Along with local musician Eric Christenson, Olstadt has organized a guided tour of the Eau Claire music scene. Each stop along the way represents a different place in the genre spectrum, hitting folk, punk, electronic, hardcore, rock, country, and everything in between. This is the third installment of the series since it debuted last November, and the organizers are hoping to do three or four of these massive parties a year. For $10, you get to see some of the best of the best in local music – this time with The Rattlenecks, Pit Wagon, Sniffle Party, The Ronald Raygun, Drunk Drivers, Whale House, Zach Hoff, and Orenda Fugue. On Sept. 16, the dust will fly.
