Last year, EC Tours released a 2.6-mile walking tour focused on the history of Downtown Eau Claire, but this year business took a sporty turn.

EC Tour’s Sports History driving tour starts at the Eau Claire Soccer Park and ends at Hobbs Ice Arena, with an hour and 15 minutes full of cool local sports history. From topics like Bob Uecker, the U.S. National Kubb Championship, the Flying Eagles, and much more, it’s a fun and educational time for the whole family.

To take the tour, you simply download the Voice Map App, purchase the tour through the website, and follow the link sent to your phone. The Voice Map App will start playing different audio files based on your GPS location on the tour map.

Roger Gostomski, owner and tour guide, created this driving tour because he knew that some people can’t commit to a long walk and this tour can be taken rain or shine.

Not only can you enjoy this tour for only $8 a carload, but there are also local vendors partnered with the tour to give you a bonus experience. Only for tour takers, Roadside Ice Cream and Diner is offering $1 off any Legend Ice Cream Mixer, Eau Claire Ale House is offering half-priced appetizers, Valley Burger Co. is offering 20% off your first drink, Wisconsin Logging Museum is offering 10% off any gift shop purchase, and Adventure Rental is offering $2 off any bike rental.

Whether you are new to town and want to learn more about Eau Claire or if you or someone close to you is a sports history buff, this is a fun and easy way to get out of the house and learn more about the community.

To purchase the tour and to learn more, go to eauclairetours.com. You can use the code “Volume One” to get $2 off the tour until the end of June 2022.
