EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR.
EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR. David Minor, President of the EC's Chamber of Commerce was awarded by MACE.

The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce’s David Minor has received a pretty major award.

Minor, the chamber’s president and CEO, was chosen from among seven candidates as executive of the year by the Mid-America Chamber Executives (MACE), the Upper Midwest’s main resource for chamber resources and news,  at the group’s spring conference.

MACE recognizes chamber professionals in the six-state area of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North and South Dakota, and Nebraska.

Brad Gruhot, – president of the Marshall (Minnesota) Chamber of Commerce, and chairperson of MACE – said Minor was more than deserving of the award.

“When (Minor) speaks up, people pay attention,” Gruhot said. “Not only does he care about his own business community, he cares about the chamber community.”

Gruhot’s words reflect exactly why Minor met the requirements of the award, whose candidates represent the “gold standard” in chamber leadership, demonstrating a commitment, passion, and vision for the chamber community’s advancement.

(Minor is) an icon, the legend ... just a good human.
