To start off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Chippewa Falls Main Street is holding its 12th annual Paint the Town Pink event on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 3-7pm.

The event includes sales and specials at 35 different businesses, swag bags for purchase, information on breast cancer health from Marshfield Clinic doctors and specialists, wine tastings, a car show, and music at Harmony Courtyard.

Paint the Town Pink is raising funds for the fifth annual Fund for Fighters, with 100% of the proceeds from the swag bags and a silent auction at the Fill Inn Station going towards a woman in the Chippewa Falls area battling breast cancer.

“Pink Ribbon Boutique will be here with information on improving the quality of life for women following breast surgery and encouraging a positive body image,” said Teri Ouimette, executive director of Chippewa Falls Main Street. “They carry a large selection of post breast surgery products.”

Paint the Town Pink offers the Chippewa Falls community the opportunity to get involved and learn more about Breast Cancer Awareness. Learn more about the event at facebook.com/chippewafallsmainstreet or chippewafallsmainst.org.
