When I joined the illustrious Volume One Magazine team, I was eager to take on the many well-known and beloved community events. It’s been an eventful year, and there’s just one left before I’ve experienced them all.

The Great Big Hullabaloo is returning May 20, from 10am - 4pm at The Pablo Center, literally the entire building. It is an amazing whirlwind day of music, art, science, technology, theater, and more. The whole thing is geared toward creative, curious, community-loving kids and their grown-ups. I’m not yanking your chain, there are so many activities and performances that I wish I could experience myself.

There will be over 30 artists, community organizations, institutions, and businesses involved. You can expect 6 themed districts where kids can immerse themselves in art, music, theater, technology, science & math, and sports & rec! You can catch the Circus Science Spectacular, Mark Hayward Yo-Yo Comedian, and Diamond School of Dance in the RCU Theatre throughout the day too.

Do you have a younger or easily overstimulated child? Don’t worry, we’ve got Camp Quiet and story times for them too. Plus there will be food and snacks to replenish your crew’s energy. The Great Big Hullabaloo is exactly what it says it is, and I could not be more excited to see it for myself! I have been looking forward to seeing it come to fruition for months now, and I guarantee that you won’t want to miss it!
