A third term will be a charm for Royal Credit Union President and CEO Brandon Riechers, who was re-elected in May as chairperson of the Wisconsin Credit Union League’s Board of Directors. Riechers will serve a third one-year term at the helm of the league, which is a dues-supported trade association for credit unions across the state.

Collectively, the nearly 120 not-for-profit financial institutions that form the organization serve millions of members around Wisconsin. Riechers is a 27-year veteran of Eau Claire-based RCU, and has served as president and CEO since 2017. He was first elected to the Wisconsin Credit Union League Board in 2019.

“I am honored to serve as the Chair of The League Board of Directors,” he said in a media release. “I look forward to working with the board to advocate on behalf of our more than 3.6 million members. Credit unions play an important role in our economy and positively impact Wisconsin families, businesses, and the communities we serve.”

Another Chippewa Valley credit union leader also serves on the league’s board: Lora Benrud, CEO of WESTconsin Credit Union, is vice chairperson of the board of directors.
