HEY, FELLA! Fella’s Loaded Goat, a new restaurant and bar, is expected to open at the end of the year or early 2024 at 1305 Menomonie St., Eau Claire. (Note: Beer mug not to scale.)

The building on the 2,400-square-foot corner lot of Eau Claire’s Menomonie Street and North Clairemont Avenue has sat vacant for several years, most recently housing a Mobil Mart. Thanks to King Pin Management there will soon be a new fella taking over the location.

Fella’s Loaded Goat will soon open at 1305 Menomonie St. next to Midwest Garage in the Shawtown neighborhood, just down the road from Carson Park and UW-Eau Claire’s huge new County Materials Complex. The restaurant and bar will serve up burgers and sandwiches, appetizers and wings, pizza, a fish fry, and other classic Midwest staples.

Things are moving swiftly along for the soon-to-be eatery and bar, King Pin obtaining a Class B liquor license from the City of Eau Claire at the end of July with plans to begin construction the week of Aug. 14, according to Jordyn Tyznik, King Pin’s beverage director. King Pin told city officials on July 18 they will be redoing the building’s interior and adding a kitchen with hopes to add an outdoor patio.

King Pin hopes to open Fella's Loaded Goat at the end of the year or early 2024, Tyznik said.

According to Tyznik, the King Pin team came up with the unique name thanks to a late bar regular they knew who would always walk in and greet folks by saying, “Hey fella.”

King Pin Management’s current lineup of restaurants and bars include area joints The Complexx at Wagner’s Lanes, 44 North and 44 Below & Ice Cream, Stout Craft Co., and others. They also acquired Big T’s Saloon, an area favorite for Bloody Mary’s, in January of this year after it went up for sale.
