The Music of Mozart and Beethoven is the theme of the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra’s (ECCO) debut concert of its 2023-24 season at 7:30pm on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Pablo Center at the Confluence (128 Graham Ave., Eau Claire).

Guest artist and renowned pianist Christopher Taylor, also a professor of piano at the Mead Witter School of Music at UW-Madison, will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, K. 491. “Those who know the pianist Christopher Taylor tend to speak of him in hushed, reverent tones typically reserved for natural wonders if not the other worldly,” according to the New York Times.

ECCO’s orchestra under the direction of Dr. Frank Watkins will follow playing Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1, which bears many of the hallmarks of classical style.

Reserve tickets online. Tickets are $26 for seniors, free for those under age 21 and $28 for everyone else. Season ticket packages for $96 are available until September 9, 2023/ For additional info about ECCO, visit its Facebook page.
